Lori Wehlander

Lori Wehlander received her undergraduate degree from Dakota Wesleyan University, a Masters in Educational Leadership from University of Sioux Falls, and a Masters in Special Education from the University of North Dakota. She has been in education for 20+ years in various roles that include Special Education Teacher, Transition Liaison for TSLP,  Principal, Superintendent, and Director of Special Services. Lori joined the Results Driven Accountability (RDA) Team at BHSSC in July 2020. In addition to being part of the BHSSC Team, Lori serves as an Adjunct for Dakota Wesleyan University.

Lori works across the state of South Dakota as an RDA Coach and as a member of the Special Education Monitoring Team. Lori works with districts to provide professional development in areas of need, assists in data analysis and creating action plans. Lori enjoys working with administrators and teachers from a variety of districts to form relationships to help improve programs offered to students in South Dakota.

In her free time, Lori enjoys spending time with her husband, three children, and her dog, Gracie. Her oldest child is at USD Law School, her middle child is at Dakota Wesleyan University, and her youngest is in high school. Lori also enjoys reading, learning about history, and creating positive change for everyone.
